    Itinerary

    Day 01AIRPORT - SIGIRIYA

    Arrival at the Colombo International Airport. Clients will be Welcome by our AYUBOWAN TOURS & TRAVELS representative and Transfer to Sigiriya

    Dinner and Overnight at hotel in Sigiriya.

    Day 02 SIGIRIYA – POLONNARUWA – MINNERIYA - SIGIRIYA

    After breakfast, leave for Polonnaruwa. Do a sightseeing tour in ancient city Polonnaruwa (11th Century AD), visit the many sites of archaeological and historical interest in the Sacred City including the Grate Statue, Quadrangle, Royal Palace, Gal Viharaya, Kumara and Lotus Ponds, Thiwanka Image House and many more. And see the one of the country’s biggest water reservoir Parakrama Samudraya. Evening Safari of Minneriya National Park.

    Day 03SIGIRIYA – ANURADHAPURA - SIGIRIYA

    After breakfast leave for Anurahdapura. On the way to Anuradhapura visit Yapahuwa rock fortress. Evening do a sightseeing tour in ancient city Anuradhapura, Visit Anuradhapura ancient Buddhist temples. Visit Isurumuniya, Abhayagiri viharaya, Ruwanweli Seya, Jayasiri Maha Bhodiya, Jethawanaramaya, Kuttampokuna, Mihintale.
    Dinner and overnight stay at hotel in Sigiriya.

    Day 04SIGIRIYA

    After breakfast visit Sigiriya Rock Fortress. The Sigiriya was built during the reign of King Kassapa 1 (AD 477 – 495), and It is one of the seven World Heritage sites of Sri Lanka.

    The rest of the day is at leisure.

    Dinner and overnight stay at hotel in Sigiriya.

     

    Day 05SIGIRIYA – DAMBULLA – MATALE - KANDY

    After breakfast leave for Kandy via Dambulla, Nalanda and Matale. First visit Dambulla cave Temple. It is the Largest and best preserved cave temple complex in Sri Lanka. The rock towers 160 m over the surrounding plains. There are more than 80 documented caves in the surrounding. Major attractions are spread over 5 caves, which Contain statues and paintings. This paintings and statues are related to Lord Buddha and his life. There are a total of 153 Buddha statues, 3 statues of Sri Lankan kings and 4 statues of god and goddess. Then visit Gedige at Nalanda one of the remarkable archaeological sites in Sri Lanka & enjoying the Spice garden at Matale and take part in a conducted tour to get some knowledge about the growth and use of spices in the day to day life.

    Evening city tour in Kandy including Temple of the Sacred Tooth Relic of Buddha – by far the Most important place of worship for Buddhists world over, Upper Lake drive a place where one could have a Bird’s eye view of the city below

    Day 06 KANDY – AIRPORT / BEACH STAY

    After Breakfast departure to airport of Beach Hotel.
